Chicago Man Tends Treasured Irises in Garden at Randles
The Southeast Missourian once highlighted Matthews Iris Garden, where my uncle, Charles Pickett returned from Chicago each May to work among the irises. While the fields look different now, with fewer irises than before, that same land and tradition have grown into what is now Matthews Flower Farm.
