Meet the Crew

Behind every bloom, project, and muddy pair of boots is a small crew that keeps Matthews Flower Farm growing. We’re Shawn and Carie, a husband-and-wife team who are learning, building, planting, and dreaming our way through this next chapter of the farm. And of course, no crew would be complete without Maverick, our four-legged farm supervisor who keeps watch over it all.

  • Hi, we're Shawn & Carie.

    In 2021, we had the opportunity to return to the family farm and begin writing its next chapter. What started as a dream to restore the land quickly became something much bigger—a chance to honor the generations before us while creating new memories for the generations to come.

    These days, you'll usually find Carie among the flowers with dirt on her hands and Shawn behind the scenes building, fixing, and keeping everything running. Every bloom, project, and improvement is a team effort, and together we're working to create a place where people can slow down, enjoy the beauty of nature, and make lasting memories.

    We're so thankful you've found your way here and hope Matthews Flower Farm feels like a place you'll want to visit again and again.

    Maverick

    I’m Maverick, the farm’s four-legged overseer. I keep an eye on the fields, supervise the chickens (from a safe distance), and make sure everyone gets their fair share of cuddles. Life on the farm is full of adventure, naps in the sun, and the occasional mud puddle, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
